Complete Outdoor Kitchen and Media Wall Project in Covina, California
A Favorite Outdoor Living Project
One of our latest projects, which I would have to say is one of my favorites, is a complete outdoor kitchen with a media wall that we just completed in La Verne, California. This outdoor kitchen truly has everything you need if you’re someone who loves to entertain.
What makes this project stand out is the use of top tier materials, which gave it a custom built look that turned out stunning. Here’s an overview of the features and materials we used to bring this project to life.
Premium Materials for a Custom Look
For this project, we used a combination of high end materials that blended elegance and durability:
- Stone Veneer for the Backsplash – The backsplash was designed using stone veneer, which gave it a natural, luxurious appearance.
- Santa Barbara Stucco Finish – For the frame, we applied a Santa Barbara stucco finish, known for its smooth, Venetian-style texture. This finish added elegance and perfectly complemented the stone and concrete countertops.
- Dark Gray Concrete Countertops – The countertops were poured in place using dark gray concrete. The color matched the tile we used around the trim of the media wall, giving the entire space a cohesive design. WE Always use Admixtures Colors.
Media Wall Features
We installed a custom media wall to enhance the entertainment experience. Here are some of the highlights:
- Tile Trim – The media wall was framed with matching tile trim, blending seamlessly with the countertops.
- Fire Table Installation – To create warmth and ambiance, we added a fire table surrounded by stone veneer.
- Accented Niches – We included custom niches in the media wall, highlighted with stone veneer to create decorative focal points.
- Recessed Low-Voltage Lighting – Low-voltage recessed lighting was installed in the niches and around the media wall to create an inviting atmosphere. This is a must-have feature for outdoor projects, as it’s both practical and cost-effective.

For the outdoor kitchen, we installed premium stainless steel appliances that ensure both functionality and durability:

Project Timeline
This project took approximately three and a half weeks to complete from start to finish. Every detail, from material selection to appliance installation, was carefully planned to create a space that was both beautiful and practical.
